What will you be Manufacturing? Ships/T1/T2/T3 (item group is fine)
i recall another thread where you were planning on manufacturing BS's & other tech 1 items etc. Tech 1 items particularly Ships have very slim margins.
Best of luck with your IPO.

Yea i took your advice into count from my last thread. T1 can have very slim margins. I also took into count the point of opportunity costs. So that's why i added selected trade and light investment into our plan.
My light investment will allow a good buy in point for base mineral stock, but i wont blink an eye about selling the minerals for profit and skip a round of building if a sell location warrants it. That's where the light trade come in. My plan is manufacturing, but my overall goal is profit for our investors and SHSG.
Excellent response thankyou. ___ iCandy Bonds

Originally by: Stealing Honest As stated a few days ago, SHSG is offering an expansion for this Ipo.
We have 9000 shares available. This offer will be open for 48 hours. Shares are 1m isk ea. After 48 hours the expansion will be closed, we will proceed with how ever many we sell.
9 Bil isk expansion?
Sorry if i missed this, but what is the sudden need for 9 extra bil, after such a short time running this venture?
Put bluntly, what will the additional capitol be getting used for?
Would it be a better idea to run a SHSG bond/loan & minimise both your risk and that of the investors.
Were the current shareholders aware of this IPO's end game goals/expansion stradegies in its entirety?
Originally by: Stealing Honest we will proceed with how ever many we sell.
I realize im quoting you out of context but this, but the statement above is a little worrisome. It tells me that there isn't a specific purpose for the expansion, its a very casual statement with regards to that amount of isk, can you please elaborate?
Thanks for your answers in advance.

9b for this part yes, and the final phase will be 7b, for a total of 20b. This Ipo in my view is no more risky then my bonds running in the past. I have stated that we would maintain a min of 75% asset to debt, and atm even with this 9b expansion we are at 100%.
I have been clear from the beginning that this is a 20b project. The 1st phase was a test period, and as logistics and assets became ready we would ramp up to full operation. The funds from this IPO are used in manufacturing, and the trade associated with manufacturing.
I disagree with your second quote statement, that its casual. I am working on a 48 hour window to sell shares. I have stated how many are available in total, and the time window they will be on sale. Once the time is over, the sale is closed. If persons wish shares after the close they may buy from the market or wait for another sale.
I agree with Raw23, perhaps your investors are better informed than me
Ok i understand now, you have tested the waters of your business with a small portion *phase 1* & now are ready to go "all in" with it, as the numbers/margins your business is creating is meeting your expectations.
As for the 'casual' thing its simply my interpretation of you wording, i suspect information im not privy to was given to investors/scc-/signitures channel at the beginning of your phase 2 expansion. Perhaps a language barrier or some such.
Good luck with it & thanks very much for your answers. ___ iCandy Bonds

Originally by: Breaker77 Have you ever wondered why people value researched BPOs at NPC price when doing collateral? If they were so easy and fast to sell for over NPC price we would value them higher.
Also I can buy ME 20 Raven BPOs on contract right now for 20 million ISK over NPC price. Thats over 1 1/2 months of research! Lets calculate the cost of POS fuel and the value of the 1 research slot that is being taken up by a character? Hmm looks like someone is selling at a loss!
Very true, there is alot of researched BPO's going for NPC price or slightly above & those are the ones i buy.
I usually get into a conversation with the person i buy the BPO's from, 99% of the time, its a newer player, Buying 4 plex cards of the website, buying some ships/stuff & dumping the rest of it in a BS BPO (there favorite faction), doing some research if any, building one or 2 BS's from it, then looking to sell it back on the market... but it cant be re-packaged.
Another scenario, one which i bought most of my Cap BPO library from was a guy that lived in a wormhole & built a few caps inside. he chose to buy vanilla prints instead of Copies. got bored in the WH & sold them below NPC price. *Shrug*
Point is, you have to understand, not everyone is as good with a pocket calculator/Spreadsheet as you or I. & not everyone cares that they are losing 20m in todays sell NOW buy NOW world.
Originally by: Breaker77 Need I continue researching the profitability of selling researched BPOs? Ok so you do have me. Someone is trying to sell a ME0/PE0 hammerhead 1 BPO for 36 million (34.5 million over NPC). I'm sure some idiot will buy it in time.
There is major Passive profits to be had in Researched BPO's You just have to be patient & chose the correct product line.
Take a look at Drake BPO's on the sell forums as an e.g. the same inpatience (You call idiots) of not wanting to wait for researching a vanilla print is driving that market.
If Edwin was still around im sure he would agree, he sold some Prints at unbelievable mark-ups. ___ iCandy Bonds
